1. Introduction

Welcome to PayWithGuddy ("we", "us", or "our"). By browsing listings, creating an account, buying, or selling on this marketplace (paywithguddy.com), you agree to these Terms.

2. Accounts

• Provide accurate details: full name, email, and phone where requested.
• Login is by email and password. Keep your password and optional 2FA codes confidential.
• You may save a doorstep delivery address for faster checkout. Keep those details current.
• Sellers must complete store profile and payout bank details before publishing products.
• Do not share or sell account access. We may suspend accounts used for fraud or abuse.

3. Orders, payments, and settlement

• All prices are in Nigerian Naira (NGN). Order totals are calculated server-side in kobo.
• Each checkout creates one order with one seller, so payouts stay clear per seller. Items from other sellers stay in your cart for a separate checkout.
• Primary payment is via Paystack. Funds stay held until the buyer confirms delivery (or the inspection window ends), then settlement is released to the seller bank account.
• A buyer protection fee may apply (shown at checkout). Delivery fees are set by each seller.
• Buyers receive a delivery PIN for handoff. Share it only with the courier or seller once you have the item in hand.
• If something is wrong, open a dispute from Track Order so payout stays on hold until support resolves it.
• Stock is reserved while payment is pending and may be released if payment expires or fails.
• An order is paid only after our systems confirm payment success (verification / webhook).

4. Delivery

Sellers deliver orders themselves, by local courier or rider, by interstate waybill (you collect at the named motor park), or by pickup from the seller, depending on what the seller offers. You must provide a reachable phone (WhatsApp preferred), street, nearest landmark, city, and state.

Each paid order has a delivery PIN on your order page. Give it to the seller or their rider only after you have received and checked the item - sharing the PIN confirms delivery and starts the short inspection window before the seller is paid.

5. Disputes and inspection

After PIN delivery, buyers have an inspection window to confirm receipt or report an issue. Confirmed orders release seller payout. Disputed orders hold payout until admin resolution (payout or refund).

6. Listings and acceptable use

Sellers may list any goods that are legal to sell in Nigeria. The marketplace is open-category - it is not limited to clothing, toys, or any other niche. Describe items accurately, keep stock current, and honour the delivery method you offer.

You may not list illegal, counterfeit, stolen, hazardous without required licences, or otherwise prohibited items. We may remove listings, hold payouts, or suspend accounts that break these rules or Nigerian law.

You may not use the marketplace for fraud, payment abuse, inventory gaming, scraping that harms the service, or attempts to bypass checkout, pricing, or security controls.

7. Seller verification

Before a store goes live, every seller must verify their email, pass a NIN check against the national identity record, and upload a photo of a government ID and a selfie holding it, which our team reviews by hand. The payout bank account must be in the same name as the NIN. Approval can be withdrawn at any time. Providing false documents is grounds for immediate suspension. Buyers are not asked for identity documents.

8. Limitation of liability

PayWithGuddy is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from courier delays outside our control, incorrect delivery details you provide, third-party payment or network outages, or unauthorized access caused by compromised credentials. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Nigerian law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the marketplace after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
